.Holidays over and time to get back to posting. Santas are an annual hobby for this woodworker .I have been carving them for a long time and most have been given away. My wife uses them as part of our Christmas decorations (as show above, in photo). The newest is not quite in the pic , it was a gift for our oldest granddaughter who just graduated from college this past May and is now a gainfully employed electrical engineer . She used to spend a lot of time with her "Pop" in my shop and was hands on curious. She had the right teacher in college and peaked her interest in elec. and it went from there to engineering.
Been able to get back in the shop and work on a few projects. Fixed my friends chair & better than new. He was happy to have it for the holidays . Still working on the broken music stand (more broken parts) a little more challenging for this old guy but it'll get done.

Am anticipating a new challenge. A friend who plays violin now uses an electric one.
Years ago her sister dropped her violin, and broke it and they were told by an expert it would be expensive to fix so it didn't get done. I don't envision making it really playable. But she has had it since she was 12 yrs. old. It would be nice, to have it in one piece, again. Haven't seen it yet so who knows? Will ask my wife "the photographer" to take a picture and then post. Any violin people out there, I'd be happy for any advice on how to go about this.
